With in-person events returning, we're teaming up with some great Sydney meetups to resurrect What Do You Know, our long running event that features short, engaging presentations from new and established speakers on one thing they know really well.
What do you know now?
The theme for this year's event is what do you know now–whether as a designer, engineering, manager, product professional–what is something the last 3 years has taught you, you's like to share with your peers?
- Who: for product, design and engineering professionals–anyone who works in Web and digital!
- What: 10 x (strictly) 5 minute presentions
- Where: Sydney CBD venue
- When: 5:30pm for a 6:00pm Start, Thursday October 6th 2022

It's just 5 short minutes, a great way to get some experience in front of a welcoming audience in a fun atmosphere. Or for experienced speakers iron out the creases of the last 3 years with a chance to get back on stage.

John Allsopp
John Allsopp has been working on the Web for nearly 30 years. He's been responsible for innovative developer tools such as Style Master, X-Ray and many more. He's spoken at numerous conferences around the World and delivered dozens of workshops in that time as well.
His writing includes two books, including Developing With Web Standards and countless articles and tutorials in print and online publications.
His "A Dao of Web Design" published in 2000 is cited by Ethan Marcotte as a key influence in the development of Responsive Web Design, who's acclaimed article in 2010 begins by quoting John in detail, and by Jeremy Keith as "a manifesto for anyone working on the Web".
