Bugherd is helping us create a better online conference experience

31st August, 2020 @johnallsopp

Later this week several hundred people (or more) will be showing up for our first ever online conference.

We’ve talked a little about our motivation for building our own conference platform, rather than using an existing service (past self I am cursing you right now!) but one thing we’re doing to really help us clean up any little issues our attendees spot is using Bugherd, so they can easily highlight things they feel need fixing, as well as make suggestions for things we could improve.

Bugherd is an Australian company I’ve long admired, and the service, to be honest, I am always surprised hasn’t been done 1000 times, it’s so useful.

You can use it to facilitate communication within your teams about things that need fixing on your sites (we’ve been using this for the new platform), with clients to help make getting feedback much simpler, and even to canvas much more widespread feedback from all site users, as we’ll be doing during Code://Remote.

It takes 5 minutes to get up and running. I honestly believe every product team should use it. It’s simply that useful.
