Twitter Rolls Out Update, But Then Changes Mind Two Hours Later

February 14, 2017

Twitter rolled out a new update to its platform on Monday but then reversed the update two hours later after getting feedback from users.

The Twitter handle @TwitterSafety tweeted on Monday afternoon that users would no longer be notified when they are added to another user’s list.

We want you to get notifications that matter. Starting today, you won't get notified when you are added to a list. https://t.co/82xiaZbg1W

But then two hours later, Twitter decided to roll back the change due to customer feedback.

We heard your feedback – this was a misstep. We’re rolling back the change and we’ll keep listening. https://t.co/9ozPS4XlVI

Twitter has been trying to reduce harassment and trolling on their platform, which may have been the reason behind this move. What do you think about this reversal? Let us know on Twitter @EdgeWebRadio
