YouTube Introduces Super Chat for Live Streams

YouTube announced last week a new way for users to throw away their money via “SuperChat” – kidding (but not really).

SuperChat is a way for users to purchase highlighted mentions during a livestream event in hopes that your comment will be seen by the creator of the livestream. Each SuperChat is a highlighted message in the chat stream that stands out from the crowd. These “SuperChats” remain pinned at the top of the chat for up to 5 hours – depending on the amount you spend on your SuperChat.

Guess what, SuperChats are also non-refundable!
