Sydney CBD based company is looking for a full-time Junior Website Developer to join a small team of experienced graphic artists and developers.

About Toowards

Toowards Pty Ltd is a niche web-design agency specialising in customised database-driven websites since 1997. We develop web applications using a combination of proprietary products and open source software. Each day you come to work at Toowards, you will be coming to work in an open plan office. While we are part of the larger Lonsec Group we have created our own culture and identity. We have a casual dress code, celebrate birthdays and other milestones and play Ultimate Frisbee every Friday lunch.

What you’ll do

Work closely with a team of talented developers and designers to deliver common sense solutions.

Gain experience working on web applications/projects with a variety of different forms and functions.

Work with clients across a variety of industries such as Banking and Finance, Property Development, Medical, and Not for Profit organisations.

Be encouraged to contribute your ideas and suggestions for our products wherever possible.

Drive the implementation of new web technologies which improve our ability to build great products.

Minimum skills

BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience).

Candidates must currently be eligible to work in Australia.

Experience working with web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Experience working with PHP or similar OO languages.

Able to demonstrate strong SQL skills.

Experience working with version control software.

Evangelist of web standards.

Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Preferred skills

Deep technical knowledge of PHP.

Deep technical knowledge of PostgresSQL.

Understanding and experience in SCRUM/KANBAN based Web Development.
