Mobile Sites Are About To Explode

How is your website ranking on Google today? Look at your analytics report, how many visitors are coming to your website? How much of the traffic is from mobile devices? I’m willing to bet your mobile traffic is about 40% or more. That 40% will only get higher as the months go by. That’s because more people are using their mobile phones to search when they are in need of a plumber or AC repair/heating company. Mobile search has also made optimizing your website for city+plumber or city+AC repair keywords a thing of the past. Today you can’t judge the success of your Internet Marketing on a keyword alone. You have to base it on how many leads your getting and ROI.

Pay close attention to your traffic from mobile today because on April 21 2015 one of two things is going to happen. You are either going to see an upgrade in visitors or you are going to see a massive reduction in traffic to your website. This is because Google is adding a mobile search algorithm that will officially include mobile-friendly ranking factors. Google said this will have a “significant impact” in the mobile search results impacting local searchers tremendously.

Why is Google waiting till April 21st to release this? They report that they want to give everyone time to get their sites mobile ready.

“I’m so excited about this because our clients are going to benefit from this right away” claims Josh Nelson of PlumberSEO. “We have had a mobile initiative since day one” he adds.

This is true, we are seeing massive numbers in mobile search with all of our Plumbing and HVAC clients. The benefit now is because our sites are mobile friendly we will have a leg up on all our clients competitors who have let the mobile boat sail by.
