Animate The Web with Web Directions and Adobe Edge Animate

One of the themes of Web Directions South this year is “animation”. We’ve got a workshop, and sessions in the design and dev track of animating web content.

And with our fantastic partners Adobe, we’re taking this theme one step further, and encouraging you to showcase what’s possible on the web today.

Here’s your challenge

  • Create a (short) web based animation using Adobe Edge Animate (you can download it free here if you’ve not already got it)
  • Our “secret ingredient” is text. You can use images of cours,e but we want to see how you can bring plain old text alive using animation
  • Closing date is November 8th, but if you submit it by October 24, Adobe will be showcasing some of the favourite animations at their Web Directions Expo stand (with a prize for the crowd favourite)

Adobe is offering a 12 month subscription to Creative Cloud for the top 3 animations, and they’ll also be showcased online.

How do I submit an entry?

Just provide your name, email address and a link to your creation in the form below

Whether you’re a seasoned expert, or brand new to animation, grab a copy of Edge Animate, and start creating!
