The role we are looking to fill is that of a ‘Technical Lead / Senior Developer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Passionate to develop award winning campaigns

• Love to share core, exchange knowledge with others, appreciate the logic and value of a collaborative development process

• Have great communications skills and have the ability to work with the other teams within the agency

• Have the ability to work with outsource teams when required

• Understand clients business problems and how it fits into your responsibility within the project

• Support the Technical Director and be the go-to-person for others in the agency

• Have the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time and effectively track time spent on individual projects & tasks

• Thorough understanding of interactive design, technology and usability

• Work with latest technologies and develop world-class digital solutions for high profile clients across Australia and Internationally

• Lead development of digital projects either independently or as part of a team

• Develop campaigns, websites, portals & e-shops using and extending a multitude of Content Management Systems and e-Commerce platforms

• Develop bespoke digital applications

• Define best practice development procedures

• Assist project & technical managers in task assignment

• Assist technical managers in scoping out projects

• Perform R&D; on recent technologies - tools/frameworks/services

• Develop and train junior developers

• Learn and grow your existing skill set

EXPERIENCE

• 5 Years of experience with at least 1 year in senior role

• Excellent work history in digital focused environments

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

PROGRAMMING

• Expertise in PHP, Javascript (Python and other languages an advantage)

• Expertise in MySQL (Postgresql and other RDBMs an advantage)

• Expertise in Jquery (additional frameworks an advantage)

• Fluency/Exposure to Server side Javascript (Node.js, Backbone.js, Express etc

• Expertise in Web Services

• Fluency/Exposure in Stream Sockets

• Fluency/Exposure in at least one NoSQL database (MongoDB, CouchDB, Cassandra etc)

• Fully skilled in OOP

PLATFORMS/SYSTEMS/FRAMEWORKS

• Expertise in Linux Servers & Application stacks

• Proficiency with at least one MVC framework (CakePHP, Codeigniter, Zend etc)

• Proficiency/Fluency with Wordpress, Magento, Drupal (additional platforms/systems an advantage)

• Application architecture skills
