Modern HTML5 applications are hard. Expectations for technical and visual complexity grow daily, and the expertise required for successful implementation grows even faster. The lines between frontend developer, interactive developer, and traditional software engineer are blurring. Video, sound, animation, and 3D – in the browser, under our control, and based on standards. Hells yeah!

We’re searching for a frontend developer ahead of the game, someone who has recognized the opportunity for talented and forward thinking frontend developers, and already has production experience delivering interactive HTML5 projects.

We hope this developer is you. If so, you additionally seek cutting-edge development tools and processes, perhaps even contributing back to their community. You pride yourself on code quality and elegant technical solutions, striving for status as a true ‘engineer’. You are easy-going, hard-working, and partial to the odd game of office soccer or Team Fortress 2.

Now, the stuff that will get you here:

Core Skills

• 5+ years experience crafting HTML/CSS websites in a team environment
• Excellent understanding of pure JavaScript, jQuery, and the DOM
• Demonstrable experience with a JS MVC framework ( Backbone.js, Ember.js, roll your own, etc)
• Demonstrable experience with mobile web development and responsive techniques
• An understanding of, and respect for W3C/WHATWG standards
• Experience with Git/SVN version control
• An genuine excitement and passion for frontend technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Skills

• An eye for design details, animation and timing
• Experience with JS/CSS pre-processors (LESS, SASS, CoffeeScript, etc)
• An understanding of PHP MVC frameworks (Symfony, Zend, etc)
• Experience with Node.js
• Experience with automated integration testing (PhantomJS, Mocha, Selenium, etc)
• Game development experience (Flash, HTML5, or native)
• You know the HTML5 gang sign

• $85,00 – $95,000 salary package based on experience
