Canva is changing the way the world designs and collaborates by providing a beautiful experience in the browser backed by unique intelligence and learning algorithms on the backend. Currently in ‘stealth mode’ we are looking for 2 senior and 1 graduate Java engineers prior to our launch in April. Our current engineering team is primarily made up of ex-Google and other enterprise Java engineers who have a passion for working dynamically. “Release early, release often” is our mantra and we have plenty of interesting problems to solve in search, machine learning, image processing & scalability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working within a small, dynamic team you will get to work across a diverse range of disciplines, from architecture to UI, distributed systems and algorithms. You’ll have the chance to strongly influence the direction of our technology and work on problems end-to-end.

REQUIREMENTS

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, and/or equivalent experience

Experienced in Java

Rapid iterative development experience, including Agile or similar

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
