Back-end Analyst

Kingston is looking for a Back-end Analyst to join our Technology Team, a group of entrepreneurial and talented developers developing and building products and systems for our high profile clients.

We are looking for talented individuals of varying experience. The ideal candidate for this role must have strong technical skills in a PHP and/or .NET environment. Commercial experience and/or systems administration is highly desirable.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

- Implementing high quality process-driven systems for our clients

- Collaborating with our front-end analysts to deliver products with great usability

- Assisting the project management with project scoping and cost estimation

You

- Have a thirst to learn new things and solve challenging problems

- Have 2+ years experience as a back-end developer and are passionate about systems and technology

- Have a strong technical understanding of PHP and/or .NET environment

- Are familiar with developing on MVC frameworks and popular CMS solutions

- Can demonstrate an understanding of best-practice web development workflows and practices

- Ideally have experience with version control (e.g. Git) or cloud environment (e.g. AWS)

- Ideally can demonstrate a broader understanding of internet technology e.g. performance optimisation, change release/deployment, security, systems administration, database architecture, design patterns, etc.

- Ideally have great communication skills

- Ideally have "DevOps" experience in a freelance/start-up working environment

- Ideally have a strong mathematical background and/or relevant tertiary education
