Front-end Analyst

Kingston is looking for a Front-end Analyst to join our Technology Team, a group of entrepreneurial and talented developers developing and building products for our high profile clients.

We are looking for talented individuals of varying experience. The ideal candidate for this role must have strong understanding of the front-end stack: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), ideally with a strong online portfolio. Experience in a freelance/start-up working environment and back-end development is highly desirable.

The Role

You will be responsble for:

- Implementing standards-compliant user interface of web and mobile applications across multiple platforms/devices

- Collaborating with the project management team and external creative partners to plan and scope user interface requirements by considering the client’s objectives and how it ties in to user experience as well implementation costs and timeline

You

- Have a thirst to learn new things and solve challenging problems

- Have 2+ years experience in a front-end role and are passionate about design, mobile and the web

- Can demonstrate an understanding of trending front-end practices such as responsive design

- Have used trending front-end frameworks e.g. LESS, Bootstrap, etc.

- Posess strong JavaScript skills: jQuery or other client side frameworks

- Are comfortable with CMSes (e.g. Wordpress) and MVC frameworks (e.g. CodeIgniter, CakePHP)

- Have a good understanding of developing wireframes for user flows

- Are very comfortable with Adobe creative products: the idea of manipulating creative assets in Photoshop doesn’t frighten you

- Ideally have great communication skills

- Ideally have experience in a freelance/start-up working environment

- Ideally have experience in back-end development and/or mathematics
