Hello. We are Holler Sydney – a creative digital agency producing awesome online (and offline) experiences. We used to do this in Flash with animation, interactive video and games. Turns out Flash isn’t cool anymore, but great interactive experiences still are. Step into the spotlight humble front-end developer!

We’re searching for a developer with a passion for pushing the boundaries of standards based web technology. You will use HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and your understanding of the DOM to craft beautiful websites that challenge traditional expectations. You’ll achieve this with clean well-documented code, an eye for detail, and a genuine care for usability. Additionally, you are easy-going, hard-working, and partial to the odd game of office soccer or a few drinks with the awesome people you work with (that’s us).

Our front-end technology stack will give you the chance to use the modern techniques you’ve been reading about, in real projects! We’re currently utalising: SASS, CoffeeScript, Backbone.js, RequireJS, canvas/SVG/CSS3 animation, node.js, media queries, and more.

Now, the stuff that will get you here:

Core Skills

• 3+ years experience crafting HTML/CSS websites in a team environment
• Comfortable working with pure JS, jQuery, and have a strong understanding of the DOM
• An understanding and respect for W3C/WHATWG standards
• Experience with version control systems (SVN/Git)
• An excitement and passion for the rapidly advancing realm of front-end technology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Skills

• Experience with HTML5/CSS3 technologies
• Experience with mobile web development and responsive techniques
• Experience with LESS/SASS/Coffeescript or other pre-processors
• An understanding of PHP MVC frameworks (Symfony, Zend)
• You know the HTML5 gang sign

What’s in It for You

• $65,00 – $75,000 salary package based on experience
