ABC TV Multiplatform is focused on convergence television, connected and mobile devices, internet broadcasting, online communities and marketing and promotional projects supporting and extending the content offering of ABC TV broadcast business.

The TV Multiplatform team have been responsible for the development of some of the most popular iOS apps in Australia including ABC iview, rage, At The Movies and Poh's Kitchen.

We are looking for a talented iOS developer to join our team to work on exciting, high visibility projects for delivering TV Multiplatform content to ABC audiences on cutting edge platforms. This is a unique opportunity for a mobile developer to work in-house, building innovative and engaging apps for a large audience.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience developing iOS applications across both iPhones and iPads with superior skills in Objective-C, Xcode development and strong knowledge of the iOS SDK. You will have experience with interactively prototyping app designs, knowledge of responsive design techniques and familiarity with storyboarding in Xcode.

Experience in other mobile platforms such as Android would be considered highly desirable. You will also be required to have strong knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, and data formats such as XML and JSON.

You will also possess highly advanced skills and knowledge in analysis, design and programming, with the ability to advise on the best technical solutions within a highly complex technical environment.

You are an energetic, dynamic and collaborative team member with great communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and a genuine enthusiasm for digital and pride in the quality of your work.

Selection Criteria:

Tertiary qualifications in a computing related field or equivalent.

Demonstrated advanced level of expertise in Objective-C, Xcode development and the iOS SDK, including demonstrated experience developing iOS apps for both iPhone and iPad. Please provide links to current iOS apps in your submission.

Demonstrated knowledge of developing mobile video applications and the AVFramework in iOS.

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of other web technologies HTML/HTML5, CSS and Javascript as well as popular data formats such as XML and JSON. Expertise with integration of iOS apps with web services and online content. Experience in other languages such as C, C++ or Java is desirable.

Demonstrated understanding of the UI design and performance challenges when developing apps for mobile devices and techniques to overcome them. Experience with building interactive prototyping and Xcode Storyboarding.

Demonstrated experience with Apple's iOS SDK guidelines and technical requirements for passing App Store approval process.

Demonstrated experience leading technical development throughout the full lifecycle of analysis, design, development, implementation and support to ensure achievement of milestones and goals.

Ability to collaborate effectively using well-developed interpersonal, strong oral and written communication skills and proven ability to convey or translate complex technical information to target audiences is essential.

Highly developed organisational skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an understanding of project management principles, application development methodologies and experience in the use of quality processes and testing.
