ABC TV Multiplatform is looking for an online producer who has specialist social media experience and skills. You should have a passion for exploring both mature and cutting edge social networking platforms with extensive hands on experience using the latest tools and techniques to manage social media presences for brands and/or entertainment properties. You will also have experience producing or developing original new media content. In addition, you will have the ability to develop social media strategies, campaigns and experiences using social media platforms to develop awareness and buzz.

You will work with internal ABC and external production teams to integrate social media platforms into new or existing programs. You will help develop & update the ABC TV social media strategy and produce online projects that seek to extend the reach and engagement with ABC TV content in social media spaces.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop, manage & implement social media strategies for various TV properties. Work alongside Multiplatform online producers to integrate social media initiatives into our TV websites and mobile offerings.

• Scope & produce online projects which help extend program reach online.

• Utilize teams of developers & designers to deliver project objectives on time & to schedule.

• Work alongside ABC Social Media Group to keep ABC TV social media strategy and guidelines aligned across divisions & departments.

• Provide specialist advice & training to TV Executives, producers & production staff seeking to use social media tools and networks.

• Be an evangelist for the editorial, storytelling use of Social Media in and around ABC programs and Multiplatform services.

• Ensure TV specific guidelines remain aligned to ABCs overarching social media guidelines & are regularly revised/updated, working closely with Editorial Policies.

• Relay new developments in social media to the Multiplatform team & wider ABC TV department.

• Advocate and apply ABC values, all relevant ABC policies and procedures including Equity & Diversity and OH&S.;

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated experience in developing effective social media strategies & managing large-scale campaigns for entertainment properties

2. Proven experience working in the online or new media environment as a producer

3. Proven experience in community management, activation and moderation

4. Excellent understanding of new media industry developments and audience trends with an emphasis on social media

5. Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly

6. Collaborative team player with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders with diverse ideas and business objectives. Ability to liaise and negotiate at a senior level

7. Understanding and commitment to ABC values, policies and practices including Equity and Diversity and OH&S.;
