We are looking for a Pre-Sales Consultant to help our customers move to a virtualised environment and to better understand our cloud offering.

As the Pre-Sales Technical Consultant you will work with prospects and partners to help them to move to and understand virtualised environments and cloud technology. You will be positioning technical cloud solutions to our target market (start-ups, developers, entrepreneurs, web/digital centric businesses) and as such you will need to understand a variety of server technologies and platforms, our cloud infrastructure, how it was built and the underlying technologies.

As the Pre-Sales Technical Consultant your responsibilities will include qualifying inbound leads, generating leads and managing partner opportunities.

• Driving revenue through proactive identification, follow-up and conversion of leads into sales - inbound, outbound and partner opportunities

• Responding to phone, email, website and live chat enquiries to help customers estimate usage and close deals

• Attending events, networking opportunities, engaging in public speaking opportunities and generating interest from potential partners and system integrators

• Contributing to product improvements through recommendations

• Supports the development and execution of processes to win new customers

• Develop and maintain strong customer and internal relationships

• Maintain consistent and high quality management reporting – knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plus

The ideal Pre-Sales Technical Consultant will have excellent product knowledge and be comfortable responding to the types of questions asked by a developer or software/hardware engineer. Knowledge of working with developer API’s is an advantage, as is previous experience as a web developer or systems / infrastructure architect/engineer and experience in virtualisation (Xenserver & VMware) and Linux. As the ideal Pre-Sales Technical Consultant you will have an understanding of cloud infrastructure and the underlying technologies, and an understanding of different server and platform technologies. You will be a great relationship builder, networker and salesperson with a real desire to help customers and generate leads. Working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment requires a confident, flexible approach. You will be comfortable speaking up and contributing to the business and have a real interest in emerging technologies and the cloud landscape.
