POSITION SUMMARY

This position has the responsibility of the strategic and ongoing day-to-day management (development and maintenance) of Microsoft Australia’s online properties, campaign web sites and other digital engagements.

The Producer mostly works with the relevant marketing team while being part of the Digital Marketing Group, which consists of digital producers aligned to other audiences, analytics lead and community manager.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

• Manage day-to-day website updates which include:

o Whole site / site section refreshes

o Content update

o Localisation of corporate produced content and campaigns

o Campaign promotions

o Content programming

o Search engine optimisation

• Continuously and proactively evaluate the operation of the websites and provide recommendations on enhancements and improvements to more quickly and cost effectively exploit new and innovative opportunities

• Work with agencies in developing content, designs and promotional material

• Use a number of analytics & statistics tools to report on site and marketing activity performance

• Work on strategies to optimise the performance of online properties and their functionality

• Work closely with the marketing team to understand their business goals/needs and translate that into engaging expriences online across different platforms from web to mobile and social media

• Project manage the production of new website enhancements, new content, new campaigns and new functionality from concept to deployment

• Maintain relevant documentation of the site set up and tools used to maintain them

• Work with the Executive Producer and other Producers to manage and prioritise the assignment of relevant web team resources and projects

• Where necessary, modify existing processes and implement new streamlined processes, which maximise efficiencies

• Ensure the operational integrity of websites, applications and infrastructure

• Contribute to Social Media strategy and engagement

TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

• At least 4 - 5 years of web production experience at Producer level preferably within a media, B2C or B2B environment

• Experience in resource planning & tracking

• Experience in working with design and technical teams

• Strong knowledge of web standards, technologies, customer-centered design and usability

• A good understanding of common web and application architectures, and how they would be applied. (HTML, FTP applications, DHTML, JavaScript, Flash, Databases, CMSes, Web2.0 technologies, AJAX etc.)

• Hands-on experience with production and streaming of digital Audio/Video

• Excellent project management, presentation and decision-making skills to be able to meet multiple competing deadlines across multiple projects

• Experience developing information architectures, wireframes, functional specifications and design briefs

• Experience working with MS Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and Excel

• Experience working with Dreamweaver, Photoshop or the Microsoft Expression Suite is an advantage

• Experience in developing digital marketing solutions and online marketing plans for various business and marketing needs.

This role is hired as an inital 3 month contract base in our North Ryde office.
