How to Compete with MacDonald’s on Google

Consider for just a moment. If you, the reader finding this article on the Internet, were to read that title, what would you do? Would you click off, or would you be intrigued and curious enough to follow along while I tell an important story about search engine optimization. The term, scares and intimates most people, and it really should not. Never think for a moment that a true SEO master is someone who holds a degree in business form Harvard. More than likely, those types of people are going to hold bureaucratic jobs, and be paid a salary, just like everyone else. Never think for one moment that a search engine optimization company can make you money. It cannot, nor will not. That is not their job. Their job is to provide you with exposure on the major search engines like Google. That is their whole goal. You will not make sales from their efforts; however, if you do this right, you can, in fact, compete with the major money players on the Internet, and capture your piece of the world wide web.

More than likely, you have no idea of how to market your business on the Internet. I can honestly and openly say that, as I have been mentoring people in building businesses online for a very long time. Most simply miss the point, and either cannot, or WILL not follow my suggestions on the exact process that I use each and every day to build my search engine optimization business.

Notice in the last sentence, I said MY search engine optimization business. There is a key there that you will need to consider in the latter part of this article.

At this point in time, the Internet holds more promise, more future and a better way to earn a living than any other regular job you could name. Our economy is getting worse, but the fact of the matter is this. The people who choose to build an Internet business are in the best possible place to be.

Some of the features that appeal, or should appeal to people seeking to build a stable business model on Google are:

1. You do not need a degree to build a business

2. You do not have to be super intelligent

3. You do not have to spend a lot of money

4. You do not have to work hard

5. You must NOT think that you know how to do this thing called Internet marketing even if you have built offline businesses before. Its a whole different ball game.

Those five elements are something that you should consider, and please, answer the questions honestly. I know the usual BS that life tries to force down our throats is that we need an education. Well, in the Internet marketing world, that is correct to a degree. If you do not know how to market, then you surely are going to have to find a system that you can trust that can show you the way. Notice I said, that you can TRUST. Be aware that the Internet is full of liars. Most things that you see, hear and read on the net come from some man or woman trying to convince, coerce or sell you on their special product or service that will make you rich with no effort. Does not happen, nor has it ever happened that way. For this reason, the IBUZZPRO.com users just hate me for what I say about them. If you think getting an automated phone dialing system, and just dictating away your nonsense to people who do not want to get your callers, then I have a site expressly for you: You Cant Fix Stupid! Go an read that site, and you will know exactly what I am talking about!

Back to the story on How to Compete with MacDonald’s on Google, or more aptly described, How to Compete with the Major Money Players on Google.

I read an interesting statement just the other day, and it went something like this: “No matter how much time, energy, effort of money you lay down to promote a business on Google, be aware that there are people and companies that are spending one hundred, one thousand and often one million more times money than you could ever imagine!” This makes perfect sense folks, but I am going to share a work around to the problem right now.

You never market a BUSINESS on the Internet! That is correct, and you heard this from a guy who has been doing this business for many years. That super widget or juice company that you are trying desperately to promote will never earn you money. There, I just put the first true words ever in the history of advertising that tells the true story. This needs clarification; however, so pay close attention below.

You should only market YOURSELF on Google. That is correct. People do not join businesses, they join you. People do not buy products from affiliate sites, they buy products because they know YOU. In other words, if you develop the thinking that marketing online means that you are going to have to put your name right out there for everyone to see, then you will be heading in the right direction for the first time in your life!

You develop your own domain name, with your name. Watch people begin to gravitate towards you. Butch Hamilton is getting to be a very well known name. I even have searches per month on the Google Keyword Tool for that name! All the domain names that I buy have Butch Hamilton in there somewhere. It is the key to success, and another interesting point to make is the fact that most will entirely miss the point, or even read this article. After all, reading takes time, and their special needs just cannot be taken up with something like reading!

So, for the non-readers out there, I am also recording a video that tells the story. Just maybe, someone, somewhere will find this information and heed the words, PROMOTE YOURSELF FIRST!

This video gives ideas on the importance of web conferencing, and how to promote the conferencing system to others using article posts, press releases, forum posts and more to drive motivated and interested people into your web conference room, whereby they will receive the best information on the products and services that you are offering.

Web conferencing refers to a service that allows conferencing events to be shared with remote locations. Most vendors also provide either a recorded copy of an event, or a means for a subscriber to record an event. The service allows information to be shared simultaneously, across geographically dispersed locations in nearly real-time. Applications for web conferencing include meetings, training events, lectures, or short presentations from any computer. A participant can be either an individual person or a group. System requirements that allow individuals within a group to participate as individuals (e.g. when an audience participant asks a question) depend on the size of the group. Handling such requirements is often the responsibility of the group. In general, system requirements depend on the vendor. The service is made possible by Internet technologies, particularly on IP/TCP connections.

Some solutions require additional software to be installed (usually via download) by the presenter and participants, while others eliminate this step by providing physical hardware. Some vendors provide a complete solution while other vendors enhance existing technologies. Most also provide a means of interfacing with email and calendaring clients in order that customers can plan an event and share information about it, in advance.

Support for planning a shared event is typically integrated with calendar and email applications. The method of controlling access to an event is provided by the vendor. Additional value-added features are included as desired by vendors who provide them. As with any technology, these features are limited only by the imagination.

The term webinar is a neologism, short for Web-based Seminar, a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web, specifically a portmanteau of web & seminar, to describe a specific type of web conference. Some argue that webinars might be one-way, from the speaker to the audience with limited audience interaction, so one-way broadcasts are perhaps more accurately called webcasts. Webinars themselves may be more collaborative[3] and include polling and question & answer sessions to allow full participation between the audience and the presenter. In some cases, the presenter may speak over a standard telephone line, while pointing out information being presented onscreen, and the audience can respond over their own telephones, speaker phones allowing the greatest comfort and convenience. There are web conferencing technologies on the market that have incorporated the use of VoIP (voice over Internet protocol) audio technology, to allow for a completely web-based communication. Depending upon the provider, webinars may provide hidden or anonymous participant functionality, making participants unaware of other participants in the same meeting.

For interactive online workshops web conferences are complemented by electronic meeting systems (EMS) which provide a range of online facilitation tools such as brainstorming and categorization, a range of voting methods or structured discussions, typically with optional anonymity. Typically, EMS do not provide core web conferencing functionality such as screen sharing or voice conferencing though some EMS can control web conferencing sessions.

Internet censorship is control or suppression of the publishing or accessing of information on the Internet. The legal issues are similar to offline censorship. CITED FROM WIKIPEDIA

One difference is that national borders are more permeable online: residents of a country that bans certain information can find it on websites hosted outside the country. A government can try to prevent its citizens from viewing these even if it has no control over the websites themselves. Filtering can be based on a blacklist or be dynamic. In the case of a blacklist, that list is usually not published. The list may be produced manually or automatically.

The problem is more far ranging than most care to admit. Any time we let third parties control our flow of information on the Internet, we run the risk of being censored, or even having our content deleted at a moments notice.

With respect to governmental information, any government may distinguish which materials are public or protected from disclosure to the public based on classification of information as sensitive, classified or secret and being otherwise protected from disclosure due to relevance of the information to protecting the national interest. Many governments are also subject to sunshine laws or freedom of information legislation that are used to define the ambit of national interest.
