In coming along to the Mashup at the Mitchell Hack day, you must agree to the Reading Rooms Internet usage policy.

To be eligible for prizes on the Mashup at the Mitchell hack day:

  • Participants must use datasets released by participating libraries for the Librayhack competition, preferably data from State Library of NSW. Datasets for use can be found here.
  • Participants may only use code, data or other materials as part of their entries that they have the right to use and release.
  • Participants are encouraged to share their applications or mash ups using a flexible and permissive licence such as Creative Commons, Free Documentation License, MIT license or BSD license.
  • Any commercialisation / release of apps using Libraryhack data is subject to agreement with the custodian agency of the data – it is the responsibility of the developer to pursue this agreement.
  • Developers retain the IP for the apps they build.
  • All entrants consent to their entry being entered into the Libraryhack competition. Read the Librayhack competition terms and conditions here.
  • Entrants will indemnify the Organisers against any third party liabilities, claims, costs, expenses (including legal costs), loss or damage incurred by the Organisers as a result of publishing any material submitted by entrants as part of their entry.
