UX Designer (Ecommerce/Site Conversion) at meghan Squirrell

The UXD will own the user experience design of moo.com

A champion of function; the UXD will also channel business requirements from Marketing and brand from the Creative Team to create a logical site architecture, compelling user flows and an all-round exciting, yet commercial, web experience.

Tasked with translating real-world activities (print design) to the web, the UXD will have the opportunity to reinvigorate and, in time, revolutionise MOO’s multi-Webby Award winning site.

The UXD will work with the Head of Product and will demonstrate:

Passion for usability - a deep understanding of customer wants and needs

Rigorous attention to detail

Commercial sensibility: capable of balancing function with retail

Visible mastery and confidence in their discipline - a keen sense of when to mediate and when to dictate

RESPONSIBILITES

Site Architecture

Overall responsibility for the site architecture of moo.com

Ensuring a consistency of functionality throughout

Defining and documenting site standards, conventions, and policies.

User Flow, Page Design & Function

Developing wireframes and high level notes for all site pages

Information architecture

Site and funnel conversion rate. A/B Testing.

Development of new page features and tools

Merchandising

Up/cross sell merchandising recommendations

Corresponding basket (AOV) targets

The Customer & Analytics

Championing simplicity and representing the voice of the frustrated customer

Usability testing, both internally and via 3rd parties.

Google Analytics etc.

General

Being the UX thought-leader at MOO, working with other senior team leaders including Creative, Tech, Ops and Marketing

Continually keeping the company up-to-date with current best practice in UI/UX design

Representing the company at relevant industry events

ABOUT YOU

You must have

A minimum of 5 years experience working as a User Experience or User Interface Designer.

A proven track record of implementing smart and measurable design improvements that have contributed to commercial performance and user satisfaction

Strong competence in all relevant UI software

Experience with content management systems, search engine optimization, and accessibility requirements

Strong verbal and written communication skills (you should be the walking, talking

embodiment of the awesome sites you’ve helped design)

Enthusiasm, great energy and the ability to work quickly in a fast paced, dynamic

environment with tight deadlines

It would be great if you also had

Start-up and eCommerce experience • Localisation experience • A familiarity with Agile methods of development
