ABC Television is looking for an experienced Online Producer to play a lead role in developing and distributing ABC television content on multiple platforms. This role requires a person with solid project management skills who can also take on new initiatives with a strong creative approach.

This position forms part of the Multiplatform team within ABC TV. The Multiplatform team is focused on convergence television, internet broadcasting, online communities and marketing and promotional projects surrounding ABC TV programs.

Key Accountabilities:

• Scope, produce/project manage digital content for new and existing ABCTV properties. Manage multiple projects; produce written reports, track resources and project budgets to deliver to the Multiplatform production schedule.

• Play a key role in identifying new opportunities for technical innovation in delivering ABC Television content on emerging digital platforms.

• Develop and test prototypes for new services, including working other ABC Divisions and external partners to deliver innovative applications and experiences.

• Maintain a high level knowledge of advances and developments in the New Media industry: understanding and awareness of current web standards and emerging platforms such video streaming, social media & mobile applications.

• Apply Corporate Equity and Diversity and OH&S; policies and practices.

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrated experience in effective production planning, scope definition and project management, and proven ability managing multiple projects to deadline and within budget.

2. Ability to make generate ideas, articulate a clear online strategy and make creative contributions to cross-platform program conception, development and production.

3. Experience in leading internal production teams as well as managing external contractors and production partners.

4. Experience with application, widget or game development is desirable.

5. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills and an ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external production partners.

6. A thorough working knowledge and understanding of ABC output and corporate policies, including Editorial, Equity & Diversity and OH&S; as they relate to online content.
