Triple your local Eldercare Referral Partners with Social Media Tools

Posted on June 14, 2010 in Alzheimer's disease, Uncategorized

From The Desk of George Novoson, LTC Expert Publications LLC:

I have been talking with literally hundreds of elder care providers who are in the midst of recreating their online presence. Typically there are two things on their mind. The first is that their Web site might be showing signs of age and they feel it is in need of a facelift. The second is that they want to take advantage of social media to increase their visibility on the search engines. Basically they need Search Engine Optimization and Social Media is the best mechanism. We are able to help companies out with both of these issues very readily.

A big factor that contributes to search engine ratings is the huge amount of local publishing and distribution of content we do for our clients.  But right, there sitting in the middle of our publishing solution is a tool we provide that could leverage great local relationships with existing and new referral partners. It’s call a Blog…….Yes, that’s the thing nobody has time to use because they are too busy going to networking meetings with potential referral partners. Who reads that thing anyways?

Well I found out another interesting fact. Many of the small businesses owners I talk to want to promote their referral partners on their Web sites. Their goals are to support the relationships, provide information to their clients and hopefully encourage the partner to do the same for them in return. It’s a smart idea but there is a very easy way to accomplish it.

Try these simple actions with your Blogs to grow your traditional referral network

·         Make a list of your existing and prospective referral partners in your area. Find the ones you really feel good about and that you would not hesitate to refer a close friend to.

·         Tell them about your social media Blog that is published on your Web site and on your 13 social media accounts and how all this publishing has raised the search engine visibility of your company.

·         Ask them if they would to like to post a brief informative or educational article on your blog with a link back to their Web site.

·         Let them know that you are giving them exposure to your prospects and clients and you want to work with them collaboratively to jointly build your businesses. The link back to their web site will help raise their search engine ratings.

·         Ask the referral partner if they have a Web site with a blog that you could post a brief article on also.

The Big Benefits:

·         You have reinforced and solidified a local referral relationship

·         The links to each other cause both of your search engine ratings to go up.

·         You can get direct online referrals from these links when people are interested in what you wrote

Some notes:

If you are one of our clients you can just send us these articles we will optimize them we will post them for you on your blog, saving a great deal of time.

If your referral partners don’t have a blog or a social media strategy, you can ask them to talk to us. We would be glad to help them out.

Kind regards

George
