Key Accountabilities:

• As part of a project team, develop complex user interfaces and web based applications for a broad range of projects including widgets, editorial tools and social media interfaces.

• Work closely with project managers/producers and design teams to develop, test and deliver interactive front ends which are ‘best of breed’ for abc.net.au

• Liaise with back end programmers to integrate, test and debug front end screens with back end applications and databases

• Be prepared to learn new skills and work on new and emerging platforms

• Advocate and apply ABC values and all relevant ABC policies and procedures including Equity & Diversity and OH&S

3. Extensive, demonstrated experience writing advanced JavaScript with experience using at least one JavaScript framework (such as jQuery). Experience and knowledge in the techniques of asynchronous JavaScript using XML and JSON (i.e. AJAX/AJAJ).

4. Strong written and verbal communication skills with extensive experience working with design/IA teams and back end technical teams

5. Strong problem solving skills to find the best and most efficient solutions to complex technical front end challenges.
