The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) Web team is responsible for www.aec.gov.au and the corporate intranet. This small team plays a key role in managing two of the agency’s most important communication channels and will play a significant role during the upcoming federal election.
Role

With limited direction:
- Deliver Web project work
- Assist in managing the team’s busy email inbox
- Work with clients to complete their web publishing requests
- Manage more complex tasks and provide appropriate support in the team leader’s absence
Skills required
——————
Mandatory:
- Demonstrated strong experience hand coding high quality xHTML/CSS that is standards compliant.
Desirable:
Demonstrated strong experience –
- Developing Information Architecture for websites
- Client-side scripting with popular Javascript libraries
- Conducting expert usability reviews or user-testing for websites or applications
