The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) Web team is responsible for www.aec.gov.au and the corporate intranet. This small team plays a key role in managing two of the agency’s most important communication channels and will play a significant role during the upcoming federal election.

Role

With limited direction:

  • Deliver Web project work
  • Assist in managing the team’s busy email inbox
  • Work with clients to complete their web publishing requests
  • Manage more complex tasks and provide appropriate support in the team leader’s absence

Skills required

——————

Mandatory:

  • Demonstrated strong experience hand coding high quality xHTML/CSS that is standards compliant.

Desirable:

Demonstrated strong experience –

  • Developing Information Architecture for websites
  • Client-side scripting with popular Javascript libraries
  • Conducting expert usability reviews or user-testing for websites or applications
