At Remember The Milk, we’re on a quest to make the world more organized and productive. With more than 2 million users of our web-based and mobile task management apps, we’ve scored the “Lots of Awesome People Use Our Stuff” badge (plus an Apple Design Award) along the way.

However, we can’t go it alone! We’re looking for a talented and highly motivated UI / Interaction Designer to join us on our quest. This is a full-time, “work from anywhere” position (Earth-dwellers only, please).

The role

If you love nothing more than creating beautiful, user-friendly interfaces, this is the role for you! You’ll be responsible for all stages of design for both new products and feature enhancements of existing products. You’ll collaborate with product managers and engineers to develop innovative task management products that users love.

More about you

Ideally, you have:

• Demonstrated experience in designing outstanding web-based applications and products as a key member of a design team
• Experience in designing early stage/new products, as well as new versions and/or feature enhancements of existing products
• A strong, clean visual design sense
• A solid understanding of user-centered design principles
• Fanatical attention to detail down to the pixel
• Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills
• A sense of humour and tolerance for our selective British English spelling

Bonuses:

• Academic background in human-computer interaction (HCI) or related field
• Design experience in mobile or desktop software
• A passion for productivity and task management in general

A little about us and how we work

• We’re a small company founded in Sydney, Australia by two people and one stuffed monkey.
• Our team is distributed around the world, with team members living on 3 different continents. We don’t have an office.
• Everyone works from home and sets their own hours (it doesn’t matter when or where you do it, as long as it gets done :).
• We keep in touch with each other primarily over a private IRC channel, as well as email/IM.
• We have a company meet-up in Sydney once a year, where we bring the whole team together.
• We’re a little bit crazy (as evidenced by one of our founders being a stuffed monkey).
