The Role

Your role as Content Producer (Web) will be integral to the development of the faculty’s website. Principle duties include planning, developing, editing and maintaining content (i.e. copy and imagery) in terms of currency, accuracy, SEO and web best practice, while providing training, support and guidance to the Business School’s content editors.

The role is located within the marketing and recruitment team, reporting to the web manager you will be working along side 2 web team members.

To be considered for this position you will have 2 + years experience in a similar role and be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with key stakeholders and the web team to develop the front end content for the website and intranet
  • In consultation with the Web Manager ensure best practice for content (scannable, concise, current, accurate and easy to read with appropriate hyperlinks) design and effective site structures that provide usable information architecture and achieve quality outcomes for the Business School’s website and which aligns with the Business School’s web strategy
  • Ensure the website is optimised for the Search Engines, this includes working with the Web Manager to create policy and process that continually reviews and reacts to SEO performance
  • Assist Web Manager in the development, of policies, procedures and processes

Skills and Experience

  • Degree and/or tertiary qualification preferred
  • 2+ years experience in copy writing, editing (for a web audience) and content management
  • Demonstrable understanding of web technologies and development methodologies
  • Strong technical skills including HTML, CSS and Java Script
  • Experience with design packages, including Photoshop
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including working with both technical and marketing stakeholders

Desirable

  • Demonstrable experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2003-2007
