We are currently looking for a Software Developer to join our team. You must be a great Agile-skilled team player who is comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment. Your communication, collaboration and development skills will drive us into our next phase of growth!

Your main responsibilities will be split between:

• Building new functionality for our platform

• Maintaining/integrating with existing applications

You will work within the IT department in Melbourne and with other business units to build quality software for a competitive market and be involved in software and interface development for our website and backend products.

We currently:

• Are transitioning to Agile development practices

• Use a mixture of languages but our core focus is on ruby

• Use the rails framework

• Use MySQL Solution databases

• Have integration points with other platform components

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven track record in Agile development

• Strong OO (Object Oriented) development background

• Familiarity with database-driven applications

• Knowledge of unix/linux development environment

• Ruby programming experience in a web environment

• Knowledge of frameworks such as Rails, Catalyst, Spring, etc

• SQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS experience
