As a .NET Developer at Atlassian, you will be working in a small team with Java developers, product managers and with quality analysts. You will be involved in all the technical discussions around the Confluence Sharepoint Connector, drive new innovative ideas of designing software systems, and make calls on what is feasible and what is not. You will also help product management talking to a few select customers to get their feedback and tailor the connector to their needs.

We require everyone to be well-rounded and continuously learn new things. One of the many things you could do is for example to pick up good CSS/HTML and JQuery skills over time, or learn more about Java. But this role also allows you to deep-dive into hard backend-issues frequently.

What You’ll Do

• Develop code for our Confluence Sharepoint Connector, and for other products on our roadmap
• Write unit tests and automated regression tests
• Liaise with developers on other Atlassian projects
• Support Sharepoint Connector customers from around the globe
• Get involved in the planning process, propose features and architecture ideas
• Develop awesome new features front to back

• Point out issues with the existing architecture and code, and clean it up

Required Skills

• Very solid .NET development experience and talent
• In-depth experience with the following technologies: ASP.NET 2.0/3.5, IIS, C#
• A broad understanding of Visual Studio 2005/2008 and Web Services
• A good understanding of HTML and CSS
• Experience writing unit- and functional tests
• Superior creative and innovative problem-solving skills

• Initiative and the ability to work independently and in a team

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Sharepoint 2007 development would be extremely beneficial
• Knowledge of I18N and Web Parts
• Experience with agile development (including test driven development, code reviews, refactoring and continuous integration)
• Broad knowledge of the software industry and technology
• Experience with Windows Authentication and SSO, e.g. NTLM, Kerberos, or Active Directory
• OpenSocial experience

• Some Java knowledge and experience

Typical Experience

• 3 or more years in a professional .NET & C# development role
