Web Site Manager and Developer

Onvia is searching for an accomplished website manager who enjoys working with an interdisciplinary team of marketers, technologists, and salespeople to attract visitors to the site, engage visitors who visit the site and generate return visits. The position is responsible for providing compelling website design, ease of navigation, developing innovative, reusable code and updating content. In this position, you will engage in collaborative dialog and have the opportunity to solve challenging problems with creative solutions.

You should have direct experience leading projects, analyzing user requirements, understand the principles of information architecture, and have familiarity with usability testing. As you manage the design process, you will drive decisions, track issues, assist in estimating resource needs and schedules, and recommend strategies based on web analytics, produce requirement specifications, and design prototypes. You will work with internal department groups to logically integrate content, be a liaison with 3rd party vendors and agencies that supply content and functionality to the site, and provide ongoing maintenance and optimization of the site including tracking usage, sales conversion, and search engine optimization. You will define the structure and style of high-profile content to improve communication to customers, prospects, investors, partners and employees. This role performs hands-on analysis, coding, testing, and documentation.

We are looking for a candidate who has both a design and development background, eagerly alerts colleagues to emerging technologies and effectively communicates research findings, conceptual ideas, and design rationale both verbally and visually. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong self-management skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong oral and written communication skills
