News Digital Media, the digital business arm of News Limited, is a dynamic next generation media company that connects Australians to a platform of integrated sites spanning the categories of news, sports, entertainment, life style, local search, social networking and classifieds.

We are currently looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join our team. This role encompasses a range of development responsibilities relating to PHP and more specifically, Expression Engine (EE) as a product. In this role it is essential that you have solid experience in Zend, CodeIgniter, PHPUnit, as well as an understanding of PHP’s performance elements.

A solid understanding of mySQL is also paramount as query optimisation, indexing, storage engines and tuning variables are used by the business on a regular basis. Additionally, the role encompasses a great deal of operational responsibility, familiarity with LAMP stacks, load testing experience and functionality testing.

As a senior member of the team you will have many stakeholders who will require your guidance and expertise to ensure we deliver on our commitments. Ideally you will have played a key role in large, enterprise projects offering innovative solutions and been a team player.
