Drupal Programming with Project Australia (Voluntary)

at Donnie Maclurcan in Sydney

Project Australia, a national organisation helping people get their socially focussed ideas off the ground (www.projectaustralia.org.au) is currently expanding and seeking a volunteer Drupal developer to join our web team. We are seeking somebody who would be able to contribute some time each week to the development of the site.

Required skills/experience:

* PHP/MySQL * HTML/CSS * Strong Drupal experience * Experience in developing custom code/modules for Drupal

Desirable skills and experience:

* Developing large-scale Drupal sites. * Developing Drupal sites with social/community features – e.g. blogs, discussion forms, wikis. * JavaScript/AJAX * Version control systems, e.g. SVN/CVS * Linux administration

We are aiming to be at the forefront of web application development, striving for a site which leverages the web as a platform and as a truly participatory medium.

This is an opportunity to work with individuals from a diverse background who are enthusiastic about the future of the non-profit space in Australia. The site has the potential for significant nationwide adoption, with the potential to be spread to sister-projects beyond our shores.
