This year one very lucky Web Directions South attendee will get to rekindle that warm fuzzy conference glow just six weeks later by heading to Web Directions East in Tokyo, on us, including airfares, accommodation, conference, two workshops, receptions, dinners, parties and more.

All you have to do is buy a ticket to Web Directions South in Sydney this October to be in the running to see:

  • Douglas Crockford - Ajax web application security
  • Nicole Sullivan - CSS Performance for fast web applications
  • Andy Clarke - Designing in the browser
  • Christian Crumlish - Designing social interfaces
  • Deborah Schultz - Social media

and get to see Tokyo and hang out with local web community. Judging from last year’s Web Directions East, “it will be an absolute blast”.

And those who’ve already registered, fear not, you’re eligible too!

The prize

  • Full pass to Web Directions East and all of the workshops - November 11 to 13
  • Return airfare to Tokyo
  • Four nights accommodation at the Hotel Villa Fontaine, right near the venue, where all our speakers are staying.

The conference and workshops

The conference starts with 2 days of workshops on November 11 and 12. You can go to any of them! Yes, the sessions will be in English :)

  • Douglas Crockford - Javscript (The Good Parts)
  • Christian Crumlish - Designing Social Interfaces
  • Nicole Sullivan - Performance Bootcamp
  • Andy Clarke - Visual Web Design Masterclass

And then the conference on November 13 includes sessions by:

  • Douglas Crockford - Ajax web application security
  • Nicole Sullivan - CSS Performance for fast web applications
  • Andy Clarke - Designing in the browser
  • Christian Crumlish - Designing social interfaces
  • Deborah Schultz - Social media
