Due to recent changes to the ETO team, we have an exicting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager, to manage the Aconex production operations team and environment, ensuring the continuous and efficient running of Aconex’s software and hardware systems.

Your responsibilities for this role include:

• Deliver a robust, reliable and well performing operational environment for Aconex production instances.
• Develop and manage the performance of the operations team, looking for opportunities to improve accuracy, communication, productivity and team work.
• Manage the capital expenditure and hosting budgets to ensure that hardware is purchased and deployed when required and hosting costs are contained.
• Assess and manage the risk associated with the deployment of changes in the production environment.
• Provide timely and accurate reports to senior management on the Aconex SLA metrics, capacity planning, budgets and exposure to risk.
• Act as a leader for the introduction of innovation and change in the engineering process, developing policy and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of the operations team.

• Build vendor relationships to ensure Aconex obtains the most cost effective solutions to meet the growing needs.

To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills:

Essential

• Strong knowledge and practical experience with the technologies that underpin the Aconex software and hardware platform, including web applications in heterogeneous environments, servers, virtualisation, databases, networking and storage hardware.
• Management of an operations team providing 24×7 support for mission critical systems, with a mixture of long term projects and interruptions requiring immediate attention from the team.
• A strong commitment to appropriate processes and process evolution, risk management and proactive planning.
• Strong interpersonal skills, especially clarity of communication and guiding individuals to positions of compromise for the benefit of the larger team or organization.
• Handling customer escalations and complaints, setting expectations and prioritising resources to deliver timely and accurate results.
• Sound experimental methodology, documentation and reporting skills
• A passion for quality

• Graduate in Computer Science Degree or similar
