Gruden is looking for a talented Mid-Senior Digital Designer to join our team. You must have a real passion for interactive design, an eye for detail and ability to work on various tasks at any time.

Gruden is a mid-sized, creative Web Agency, running for 15+ years and possess an excellent top tier client list of well known brands.

Our work is clean, fresh, professional, and our internal culture also places emphasis on quality of lifestyle and individual progression. The interactive team is made up of first class designers, interactive & front-end developers.

What we are looking for in this role is someone with solid online design & branding experience with a main focus on user-centric design. You will need to be conceptually strong and be able to look at all areas of the online brand experience; the interface, navigation, delivering the strategic message, understanding audience types, user requirements, campaign objectives, overall visual impact, appropriateness use of technologies etc.

You must have a high level of understanding of emerging web technologies with a demonstrated ability to solve design challenges for varying project requirements. The ability to be self-directed and motivated in the management and prioritizing of your workload is paramount. You must be able to perform under pressure and consistently provide and create work of the highest standard.

Last but not least, a clean and strong online portfolio of known brand work will be required, along with relevant personal references when applying for this job.

Key skills

Have a clear understanding of the different applications used and have advanced level knowledge of:

• Adobe Design Premium CS4
• Adobe Media Encoder CS4
• Sorenson Squeeze / QuickTime Pro
• Advanced timeline animation
• Intermediate ActionScripting (2.0+) hands-on coding experience

• Working knowledge of AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, CSS & XML

Key experience

• Mixed online campaign experience – both creative & production
• Extensive Flash graphics production experience
• HTML/CSS graphics production experience
• Cross-browser compatibility knowledge
• Solid handover documentation & procedural experience: designer to developer
• Client interfacing & presentation experience
• Strong & varied online portfolio of known brand work within different industry sectors
• Minimum of five (5) years experience as a ‘Web Designer’

• Strong verbal & written skills
