Inspire Digital is looking for a Sydney-based full-time (contract, with view to permanent) Rails developer to help develop Inspire Digital’s web publishing system.

You will be working with a great team on projects that make a real difference, not in a faceless brochureware factory.

We use Scrum to facilitate agile development, and we are committed to best development practice wherever possible.

Required experience:

• Rails 2.2+
• Git
• BDD/TDD, rspec, Cucumber
• Distributed development (we’re using Skype, Github, Unfuddle to co-ordinate)

• Intermediate to advanced HTML/CSS/JavaScript

The following experience would be a bonus:

• Linux (Ubuntu) administration
• REST-based development
• Continuous integration (especially CruiseControl.rb)
• Selenium
• jQuery
• Contribution to an open source project

• Knowledge of the Scrum agile development framework
