simple1: pick on someone - eg George Bush2: find a nice description for them eg - idiot3: Write an article in your blog about George bush, point a link to his website and give the link the anchor text idiot.4: get all your mates to do the same, they get all their mates to do the same,etc5: type idiot in google and guess who comes out top!6: and should say this doesn't work anymore so don't bother trying as google have adjusted their algo.t

We called it google bombing if you are trying to influence the ranking of a page by using unrelated keywords in building links.

A Google bomb is Internet slang for a certain kind of attempt to raise the ranking of a given page in results from a Google search, often with humorous or political intentions.
Google bombing is closely related to spamdexing, the practice of deliberately modifying HTML pages to increase the chance of the website being placed close to the beginning of search engine results, or to influence the category to which the page is assigned in a misleading or dishonest manner.
