webOS - a high level overview

O’Rielly and Palm have just published the the first chapter of the upcoming “Developing Applications in JavaScript Using the Palm Mojo Framework”, with a high level overview of webOS and Mojo - the new framework for developing Palm based applications we talked a bit about here, predominantly because it uses web technologies like CSS, HTML5 and JavaScript as the way to develop applications for the platform.

Not a lot new here, but a bit more information, and some screenshots, for those interested in the Palm webOS.

    John,

I’m inclined to agree with your assessment of this chapter; a little bit of information, some nice screenshots, but not enough to really get your teeth into… looking forward to Chapter 2 :o)

I’m one of the co-founders of preDevCamp; a community approach to developing applications for the Palm Pre. Right now, we have over 400 people signed up in over 50 cities and we’re trying to find interested parties in Australia.

Do you have any contacts who are interested in developing apps for the Palm Pre? If so, would you mind putting us in contact? I can be reached via email, or on Twitter as @dancrumb.

    Thanks,

    Dan
