Alan had recently posted how devshed was using nofollow on the links from authors that contributed articles.

Personally, I feel nofollow has gone too far. People used to take articles and use them for content, which was perfectly acceptable so long as they gave you a link in return. Now sneaky bastards bastids (Kudos seowoman) are not only taking our content, but getting the benefit of it for free.

Has use of the nofollow gone too far? What are your thoughts? Should sites who use nofollow across the boards be punished?

Do you think sites that use your content have a right to no-follow the links?
