Email marketing is a tool used by highly paid pros in Big Business to add customers to their sales pipeline and big profits to their bottom lines. If you as a real estate agent are not using it to its full potential, you are leaving sales (and commissions) on the table.

If you want to grow your real estate business, learning more about automating your email marketing efforts is an essential item on your to-do list. It doesn't have to be intimidating, and you don't have to be a disciplined or accomplished writer to make this tool work for you.

Here are a few things to look for in an automated email marketing system:
  • Easy subscription forms that can be integrated with your existing website
  • Instant autoresponders to offer instant downloads and free reports
  • Automated time-based followup (one hour, one day, one week, one month, one year, etc.)
  • Newsletter broadcast features
  • Scheduled mailings for pre-written seasonal announcements
  • HTML delivery to match your website/logo branding
  • Multi-part  HTML/text for maximum compatibility with readers' email programs
  • In-depth reporting to gauge readership, make improvements, and actually see who's reading your messages.
  • Multiple email lists
  • Easy import of leads from other databases or address books

I highly recommend that my clients use a drip email marketing system like www.prodrip.com to allow them to keep in contact with leads regularly and automatically. Any system that requires excessive human intervention will not get followed very well when life gets busy. You want to have an email marketing platform that automates as many of your routine tasks for you as possible.
