CBS Interactive is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CBS Corporation. The company is part of the CBS Interactive Division, which is focused on building the premier online content network for information and entertainment.

We are looking for a Web Designer to join the design team. The holder of this position is primarily responsible for the creation and development of web content for CBS Interactive’s portfolio of sites. Additional responsibilities of this position include the development of editorial features, sale opportunities and marketing material as well as offering input and ideas to target potential opportunities.

You will create new design solutions while adhering to style guidelines and brand objectives. You will be able to follow a project from initial concept through final execution while taking creative direction. This position will work closely with the senior creative and technical teams as well as other internal clients.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have a keen interest in web design, new trends
• Have conceptual and technical knowledge of all design principles (typography, colour, layout, motion, etc.)
• Have a strong knowledge of CSS, xHTML, Javascript and current online media standards
• Possess knowledge in information design, online design, usability and ergonomics
• Be able to provide multiple creative solutions to problems while meeting stringent deadlines

• Formal qualifications in Web Design, Digital Media with a minimum of two years of commercial web design experience.
