Hello world,

Madman Entertainment (madman.com.au) is on the hunt for a super talented Web Developer specialising in Java.

We are a Melbourne based publisher of niche movies and DVDs with a large catalogue that features Anime, Australian, Foreign Language, Independent and Cult titles.

You’ll be working with new and emerging web technologies to help produce some very exciting, innovative and entertaining online experiences and web applications.

The role offers an excellent and unique working environment with plenty of fun perks. Expect wickedly smart, passionate, motivated and creative co-workers.

The stuff you need bring:

• Experience developing standards-focused web applications and up-to-date knowledge of web development technologies
• Demonstrated skills and experience in Java, JSP, Struts and AJAX
• Experience with object-persistence frameworks and relational databases such as MySQL or SQL Server

• Creative problem-solving and software engineering skills

The stuff that you don’t need to bring (but it’ll help get you to the top of our list):

• Experience with Flash, ActionScript and Photoshop
• Working knowledge of e-commerce, online payments and B2B applications
• Experience with streaming and online video
• Apache Tomcat and Linux system administration know-how

• Enthusiasm for movies!
