Web Interface Developer

Here at realestate.com.au we are experiencing rapid growth and change as a result of our success and are currently expanding our team. We need the right person to join our team and fill the role of Web Interface Developer located in our Melbourne Office based in Richmond. As a Web Interface Developer you will play a vital role in the company’s ongoing growth.

Major Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Business Analysts to help them deliver Design Documents

• Collaborate with Application Developers to implement interfaces

• Drive innovation and creativity within the team

• Maintain the highest standards of code and foster a culture of quality within the team

• Maintain and document best-practise standards of interaction design, usability and accessibility

You will need to demonstrate:

• Commitment to a customer first philosophy - both internal and external customers.

• Embrace and initiate change

• Keen to learn more and develop further

• Proactive and action oriented

• Work collaboratively and are honest and respectful in your dealings

• Are a strong team player

Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of object-oriented JavaScript, the DOM, HTML and CSS

• Experience in at least one JavaScript library (Prototype, Dojo, jQuery etc)

• Experience developing cross-browser AJAX applications deployed into production environments

• An understanding of best-practice usability and accessibility

• A passion for user-centric interfaces

• An eye for design – this isn’t a graphic design position however we are looking for someone who knows when something looks ‘right” or not
