Web Designer for Exciting Web 2.0 Project

at GaggleHouse (Anywhere)

# Does the prospect of leading the design of a social dating site for over 100,000 existing members make your mouth water?

# Do collaborative projects make you warm and fuzzy?

# Do you have the XHTML and CSS skills to breathe life into your stunning visual designs?

At GaggleHouse (formerly Lizard Media) we've been helping people to find connections online since the internet was a baby and we have recently begun an exciting new product development cycle.

Our flagship brand Pink Sofa is Australia's leading community and dating site for lesbian women and home to thousands of passionate and loyal members who deserve the best user experience that you can deliver. We have the technology, now we need the design.

Whether you're a freelancer holding out for the perfect gig or an agency gun looking to jump the fence, this role offers creative and production ownership and the satisfaction of delivering a beautiful product to an eager audience. Your deliverables will include:

# Conceptual visual design

# Interface and interaction design

# Production of design composites

# Markup of design composites to XHTML and CSS

# Creation of a style-guide to inform future design and production

Of course, it's not just about Pink Sofa – we're already planning the launch of new vertical communities which will require their own unique design. If you're as good as you think you are then this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Our selection will be based on your portfolio and previous involvement in the design and delivery of social web products.

Experience designing for the Ruby on Rails framework is a bonus. We're looking for the best and have the budget to pay for them.

The role will be offered on an initial six-month fixed term basis. The team is based in the Western city fringe of Adelaide however you can be based anywhere.

Please send us a covering letter and a link to your portfolio.

We look forward to hearing from you.
