Major Responsibilities

Translate design concepts to XHTML/CSS

Integrate designs with backend using templating languages

Collaborate with Business Analysts to produce functional specifications

Required skills:

High level of experience and confidence with (X)HTML and CSS

Knowledge of web standards and cross-browser compatibility issues

Desired skills:

Experience with templating languages such as Template Toolkit, Smarty or HTML:Template

A great sense of interface design, usability and accessibility principles

Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, YUI or Prototype

Knowledge of factors that affect front-end performance

Experience with version control systems such as CVS, Subversion or Git

Experience with Photoshop or Fireworks

Experience with Flash
