A big thank you to our Key Supporters, Microsoft

A big thank you to our Key Supporters, Microsoft

After last year’s Web Directions South we did a survey of attendees to get a sense of what you liked, and where we might improve. It was anonymous, which meant, hopefully, we got very honest answers. The responses were overwhelmingly positive - about the speakers and content, and about the overall experience (although one respondent did describe the food as “too fancy”!).

One strong message we got was how much attendees appreciated what our supporters brought to the conference. The honest truth is that Web Directions would not be the experience it is without their support. Things like last years fantastic closing night party, brought to you by Microsoft, where several hundred attendees were still going strong after last drinks, would simply not be possible without them.

So we are tremendously grateful to all our sponsors.

This year, we are very happy and privileged to have Microsoft once again as a Key Supporter. They’ll be at the Expo like last year, with micro-presentations from industry experts during the breaks, and will be showing off all kinds of technological toys. There’ll also be folks like Michael Kordahi and Shane Morris who really are champions of the openweb within microsoft, who’ll be happy to field your questions about microsoft’s tools and technologies, and how these fit into what you are doing. Last year they also had plenty of excellent things to give away, so keep an eye out for the goodies they have on offer.

Once again a huge thank you to Microsoft for their support. Without it, Web Directions would definitely not remotely be the event that it is.
