We’ve also put together a really great price for accommodation at the conference venue, the Hyatt Regency Vancouver right in the heart of Vancouver.

What’s included?

Web Directions North includes:

  • Two full days of conference sessions with world leading speakers and experts
  • A quality conference bag full of goodies
  • Lunch, morning and afternoon tea, fully catered each day
  • The Web Directions North Reception, with food, beer, wine and soft drink
  • Free wifi at the conference venue
  • A closing night party

Volume Pricing

This year we have a generous volume pricing deal. Send along 4 or more attendees from the same organisation and each ticket will be just $745 CDN - that’s $150 off the regular price!

Just register as you would normally and the discounted price will be calculated automatically when you purchase 4 or more tickets.

Student Pricing

Full time students can attend the two day conference for just $195 CDN.

If you are a student and would like to take advantage of this offer, register and pay through our regular system using the promo code WDN08-Student. To finalise your registration you will then need to send us an email with a scanned copy of your student ID.

Workshop Pricing

Web Directions also features four full day workshops to choose from on the two days before the conference, Monday 28 January and Tuesday 29 January 2008.

Andy Clarke will speak to visual designers looking to advance their CSS skills with new techniques and technologies, and technically-minded developers who want to understand more about working visually. This workshop will take your knowledge of CSS to the limits of what is currently possible and beyond.

Cameron Adams will talk about the pros and cons of different JavaScript libraries and frameworks, demonstrate the creation of mashups using APIs, cover browser-native vector graphics formats like SVG/VML & Canvas, and share his insight into why coding JavaScript is so darn fun.

Jared Spool will share the results of years of research examining how the best sites navigate users to their content. In just one day, you’ll see the techniques behind successful designs including Lands’ End, A.G. Edwards, Staples.com, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, CNN.com, and the BBC.

The only difficulty is choosing which workshops to attend.

Each workshop costs $495 CDN, or just $395 CDN if you are coming to the conference. They include:

  • A solid day’s training with these world experts
  • A catered lunch and morning and afternoon breaks
  • Free wifi at the venue
  • Printed materials

Accommodation Pricing

Located in the heart of downtown Vancouver, the conference and workshops are to be held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. See our venue details page for room reservations at a discounted $149 CDN per night.

Skiing/Boarding Trip Pricing

Fancy a day or two at Blackcomb Whistler, home of the 2010 Winter Olympics, and one of the world’s great skiing/boarding destinations? We’ve put together a package including a luxury coach round trip and lift tickets for $120 CDN a day. Join fellow attendees, and speakers for this great post conference trip.
