Google Page Rank Slap - What To Do?

Here is a quick seo update relating to the ruduction of Page Rank a few top blogs and sites received this week…

Firstly, Google did warn everyone not to get obvious paid links. The dissapearance of the supplemental index has meant you need to dig a little harder to check your own site Google trust rank.

The page rank update is a warning to those who deliberately try and game Google for high PR links. Websites attached to those websites will now experience a lowering of Google juice as well as the effect passing down the line.

• No obvious paid links

How do you check your Google Trust?

• First check how deep your pages are indexed. Do the site:yourdomain.com command in Google and see what pages are indexed.
• Are you still ranked for your keywords? - If you rank you rank - then your traffic trends will continue
  
  even your adwords quality score will not really be affected
• See how quickly pages rank when you put them up.

How do you get more subtle linking without getting penalized?

• Get links with natural anchor text by having a domain name with your keyword in it
• Use a logo catch line with keywords in the marketing tag
• Page titles should have the keywords in it (so when people link you get anchor text)

Other SEO Tips

• Make your H1 tag slightly different to your page title and description 
• Have some pages cross referencing each other with similar keywords
• Deep link from an authority page within your page to other pages
• Syndicate articles and blog posts with bio box
• Allow Misspelling of keywords in your blog and forum community
• Use keywords in examples
