    Is Dames really a British word? I’ve lived in the UK for nearly 37 years and had only heard the word ‘Dames’ used in war films, prior to hearing about Fabio’s site!

    @Lee - now that I think of it… maybe it was a 50’s thing Bogart and whatnot “silly dames” or “That’s one crazy dame”

    Although the UK does have it’s own flavor of the English Language…

    I’ve never actually done research on the word but here’s what I found;

    It obviously stems from old school English.
