Web Directions South 2007 » Venues

We’ve grown! This year we need two separate venues to accommodate the workshops and conference. They’re very close to one another, and equally convenient to a range of hotels in the Darling Harbour area. But if you are attending both workshops on the 25th and 26th and then the conference on the 27th and 28th, take note of each venue.

Conference and Expo Venue

Web Directions South and Web Expo South will be held in Darling Harbour at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, on Level 1 of the Convention Centre Parkside.

Workshops Venue

All the workshops, on September 25th and 26th, take place at the Powerhouse Museum. The Powerhouse Museum is 10 minutes walk from Central Station, located on the monorail, or a short walk from Darling Harbour. It is less than 5 minutes walk from the conference location, so hotels which are convenient to one location will be convenient to both.

Hotels

Darling Harbour is close to the heart of Sydney. Any hotels in the CBD will be at most a 15 to 20 minute walk through the city. To be really close to the conference venue though you will want to stay somewhere in Darling Harbour itself.
