About

Smartial was built to make exploring the archived web more accessible, efficient, and genuinely useful. Whether you're browsing the Wayback Machine, investigating expired domains, recovering lost content, or doing OSINT research, our tools are designed to help you find what matters and (hopefully) without unnecessary friction.

What began as one simple search utility has grown into a comprehensive suite of features for anyone curious about the web's history. From content previews and version comparisons to domain scoring and archive mining, Smartial streamlines the process of uncovering the past online.

My name is Viliam, though I publish here as Kaudo.  I live in the Slovak Republic, EU. Over the years, I’ve built websites, lost data, rediscovered entire projects through archive.org, and learned just how tricky digital memory can be. Smartial is the toolset I wish I had back then and now I share with anyone who values preservation, research, or curiosity.

Smartial is free to use, runs on the fast and flexible Publii platform, and is hosted on trusted Hetzner servers in Europe. I focus on keeping everything clean, efficient, and accessible.

If you're looking to dive deeper into methods, workflows, or real-world examples, I also maintain an extensive blog archive filled with hands-on tutorials, walkthroughs, and field notes on digital forensics, web history, and open-source investigation.

Welcome! And enjoy exploring what the web once used to be...
